See how Kaulig Giving and Fox 8 Cleveland’s Own is helping share amazing things in the community, including this segment about the Cleveland Kids Book Bank.

Did you know that 2 out of 3 low-income kids don’t own a single book?

That’s why the Cleveland Kids Book Bank has helped foster improved literacy and a love of reading by providing free books to children in need. Their goal is to break the poverty cycle by exposing low-income children to language and reading from birth–fostering literacy skills, opening their minds to the world beyond their neighborhood, and fueling their imaginations.

Even during the pandemic, Kaulig Media wanted to help the Cleveland Kids Book Bank gather books for kids. Co-Founder & Executive Director at the Cleveland Kids Book Bank, Judy Payne, coordinated the book drive with a small (but mighty) staff and some INCREDIBLE volunteers to gather over 5,400 books and counting.

As soon I walked in last week, I couldn’t believe how many books there were! It was unreal. I mean, thousands of them! And you know the best thing? When kids in disadvantaged neighborhoods receive these books, the books are to theirs to keep. Something to read and call their own.

I’m so glad we could be a part of this amazing cause!
